Компания, которая использует свой капитал для инвестиций в другие компании. Существует два вида данных компаний: инвестиционная компания открытого и закрытого типов. Последние встречаются гораздо чаще. Во Франции наиболее распространенными являются sociétés d'invesstisse-ment à capital variable (SICAV) (общества вложений в оборотный капитал) и fonds communs de placement (FCP) (общественные фонды размещения привлечнных средств). И те и другие выступают как инвестиционные компании (OPCVM) в соответствии с законом от 23 декабря 1988 г., вступившим в силу 1 октября 1989 г.
